CDL A Local Dry Van Driver in Portland, OR

CEVA Logistics is hiring a CDL A Local Dry Van Company Driver in Portland. This is a night shift position Monday – Friday. You will be touching freight, which is delivered in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with State and Federal DOT regulations and all Transportation Security Administration requirements. 

Compensation:

• Weekly Pay: $1,600-$1,900
• Bonuses:
  • Driver Referral Bonus: $1,000 per driver hired, paid after 90 days of employment
  • $2,500 sign on bonus
• Paid via direct deposit weekly

Home Time, Route & Schedule

• Home Daily
  • Will require some travel to help cover a team run if needed (pay increase for Team coverage)
    • Dispatch around 6pm, 19 hour round trip from Portland nightly ( 1 driver drives about 9 hours doing a few delivers and at the midpoint the drivers switch and other drives back to Portland while making a few deliveries ) 1 drives while other sleeps. Arrive back in Portland next day in the afternoon.
• Shift: Night shift, After 6pm dispatch
• Schedule: Monday-Friday
• Route: Local, around Portland area
• Operating a Liftgate doing deliveries to Honda dealerships

Equipment

• 2023 and newer Volvos
• Automatic Transmission
• Speed governed at 70 mph
• Inward and outward facing event triggered cameras
• Slip seating

Qualifications

• Must have valid CDL A License
• Minimum 2 years of verifiable CDL Class A Tractor Trailer driving experience
• Comfortable driving in all weather conditions
• OTR or Regional driving experience preferred
• Comfortable with touch freight
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 5 years industry driving experience may be substituted for a high school diploma or GED
• Must have valid CDL A License
• Clean motor vehicle record (MVR)
  • No more than 3 moving violations/traffic citations in the past 3 years 
  • No more than 2 preventable accidents (chargeable or not) in the last 3 years
  • No DUIs/DWIs in the past 5 years
• Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations
• Must be able to pass a required pre-employment drug screen
• Must be able to read, write and speak English
• Hiring Radius: Drivers must live within 45 miles of Portland, OR or be willing to relocate for this position
