Route/Activity – Truck drivers are responsible for delivering product to customers. This is a touch freight position, using box trucks, pallet jacks and dollies to deliver product from central location to various grocery stores within the area
Shift – This is a 7 day a week operation, dispatching at 10 pm daily- Routes will be determined during orientation.
Equipment – Straight trucks
Compensation – Hourly paid weekly-direct deposit $ 18.00 per hour
-Loading, unloading, or assisting in loading and unloading truck.
-Safe and responsible operation of assigned equipment.
-Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
-Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage before and after route.
-Primary interface with the customer at point of delivery.

-At least 23 years of age
-Valid Class C (driver’s license) required
-1 years of verifiable driving experience in the last 5 years
-3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations/accidents
-Reliable and customer-oriented
-Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
-Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
Non-CDL Driver Minimum Hiring Requirements
Must be at least 23 years of age.
A minimum of 3 years verifiable previous employment history.
Straight truck drivers - a minimum of 1 year verifiable driving experience within the previous 5 years with straight trucks.
Must meet all requirements in compliance with Section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (Qualifications of Drivers) if driving a vehicle weighing between 10,000 and 26,000 pounds.
Must successfully pass the Non-DOT pre-employment drug screen.
No evidence of more than one current license held.
No history of citation, conviction, or forfeiture of bond for the following offenses while operating any motor vehicle:
oUnder the influence of alcohol or controlled substance
oCommercial Motor Vehicle - Lifetime disqualification
oPersonal Vehicle - 5 year disqualification
oLeaving the scene of an accident
oUse of a motor vehicle to commit a felony.
No previous history of suspension, revocation, or cancellation of driving privilege as a result of moving traffic violations or vehicular accidents within the previous 5 years.
Cannot have more than 2 moving violations and/or accidents within the previous 36 months (citations or convictions).

The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg.
-The associate must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area.
