Facility Maintenance Manager

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for managing all aspects of the facility and equipment maintenance supporting safety, cost, quality, service and regulatory compliance. The ideal person will be skilled in planning and managing large maintenance staff to achieve annual business plan and budget. Requires the ability to develop staff, solve problems and implement solutions. Must possess a working knowledge of refrigeration, mechanical, and electrical systems. Must independently oversee and effectively manage multiple initiatives including supporting the operational equipment needs of all three shipping and receiving shifts.


The Penske Kinloch, Missouri facility is a refrigerated distribution center servicing the supermarket industry. This is a fast-paced 24 Hour 7 day facility. Penske is looking for a skilled maintenance manager that can maintain and as well, as improve facility infrastructure. Allowing for improved building performance and reliability in support of the building customer.


Major Responsibilities:


-Oversee the building and equipment needs of a 24/7 operation.

-Manage preventative maintenance program on building and MHE

-Participate in developing and manage to budgeted expense levels.

-Work with the General Manager to develop annual capital budgets for facility maintenance and improvement

-Ensure compliance with regulatory and company safety policies within the maintenance department

-Responsible for ensuring compliance with, and maintaining comprehensive records regarding, all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and requirements including, but not limited to, OSHA, HAZMAT and Fire Safety.

-Develops and implements new methods, procedures, and systems to improve plant maintenance service performance.

-Oversees purchasing activity, ensuring best possible price, performance, and MRO supply solutions are secured. Negotiate pending equipment issues to meet company objectives. Ensure that company policies and procedures are used regarding purchasing and contracts.

-Develops and implements new methods, procedures, and systems to improve plant maintenance service performance.

-Other projects as assigned by the manager



Qualifications

Qualifications:

-8+ years of facilities/general maintenance experience required.
-College degree in Engineering preferred or equivalent required.
-Ability to troubleshoot and make repairs on basic plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems.
-Ability to read and interpret manuals, documents, and drawings.
-A positive, customer service oriented attitude. Self-starter who demonstrates professionalism and can work independently.
-Flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business.
-RETA certification strongly preferred.
-Ammonia/ CO2 split system Refrigeration experience required.
-OSHA and safety training certifications preferred.
-Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
-Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
