REGIONAL AVIATION SECURITY MANAGER ***AIRPORT EXPERIENCE PREFERRED***

Job Description

Organize and assist in all aviation cargo security operations within the company.  This position will be integral in maintaining company cargo security policies and procedures, ensure compliance of your region to Stations Site Security Programs as well as interaction with various U.S. Governmental agencies within the scope of your position.  As Regional Security Manager, you will have to demonstrate excellent knowledge of all pertinent security regulations in regard to Transportation Security Administration and Customs and Border Protection regulations.  You will need a strong commitment to security rules and knowledge of all security processes within the aviation environment.  Knowledge of cargo screening policies and procedures are integral for this position and will be the focus of numerous job duties and responsibilities.

Job Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Perform independent station audits with sole focus on security policy & procedures.
  • Ensure agreed Site Specific Security Plans are up to date and compliant with program.
  • Document and submit security reports for your region of responsibility to company Directors of Security as well as Vice President of Security.
  • Ensure stations are completing required daily and weekly screening reports as mandated by the company.
  • Verify all mandated security training has been completed by stations within your region.
  • Ensure stations in your region complete all quarterly reports as required by U.S. CBP or any other report mandated by any government agency or official airport authority.
  • Assist and train stations on proper completion of daily & weekly screening audits.
  • Attend meetings with other managers to assist and inform of all security related issues being discussed.
  • Coordinate with station management teams in regards to emerging emergencies and alarms.
  • Create incident reports for management on regional security status.
  • Compile data to submit to Directors of Security to assist in proposals for improvements to security processes and procedures.
  • Assist Directors of Security on special projects and events as needed.
  • Meet with customer/airline representatives when/directed as needed for security related issues.
  • Travel to respond to emergency security incidents as directed by Regional Security Directors.

 

Required Experience

Travel Duties & responsibilities:

 

  • Travel to stations and meetings as approved by the VP Security& Government Compliance and any other required company approving official.
    • Visit stations for regular scheduled security audits.
    • Attend meetings as necessary.
    • Responsible for maintaining expense reports and adhering to travel budgets.

Qualifications:

 

  • Proven experience as a security manager or similar position.
  • Experience using relevant technology and equipment (e.g. CCTV)
  • Experience in reporting and emergency response planning.
  • Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to work effectively with individuals and groups with a variety of identities, cultures, backgrounds, and ideologies in a global environment.
  • Working knowledge of security regulations with focus on the aviation sector (e.g. TSA, CBP & FAA Regulations)
  • Outstanding organizational skills.
  • Ability to respond to critical security issues in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work individually, as well as, part of a dynamic team.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office software.
  • Committed and reliable.
  • United States Citizen
  • High school diploma. Further education in security administration or similar field will be an asset.
